AUGUST 2010
Dear friends,
We have some upcoming
events that we failed to mention in your recent newsletter and we
thought you might want to know about them so you can attend…..
The ministry is still
expanding and on SATURDAY AUGUST 14TH @ JOHN 3:16 MINISTRIES
there will be a FREE FISH FRY in honor of the new CRAIGHEAD COUNTY FAITH
HOUSE now under construction on the ministry grounds. We will eat fish
starting at 5:00pm…then from 6:00pm until 7:00pm we will visit the sight
of the new dorm and families and children can visit the new playground
that is now open at the JOHN 3:16 PARK. Starting @ 7:00pm there will be
testimonies and music.
In September we will be
visiting the great town of AMAGON where we will have our 3rd
AMAG0N LABOR DAY BLOWOUT!! This event will be held on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER
4TH @ the AMAGON COMMUNITY BUILDING….we will eat @ 5:00pm
with a live auction following @ 6:00pm and then starting @ 7:00pm we
will have live entertainment and as usual, FIREWORKS will follow!!
Proceeds from this event last year helped us to purchase the big bus
which holds all 60 residents and this year we will hopefully pay it
completely off with the contributions received from ticket sales and the
auction!! We appreciate the support shown each year at this fish fry and
we are looking forward to seeing our friends in AMAGON again!! Fish
tickets will go on sale soon-so be watching for posters about the
event!
We sure hope you can
join us for both of these events; we enjoy fellowshipping with our
friends and we appreciate your continued support very much!!
Please be sure to read
the testimony of graduate MARK BOLIN on the back page of this
letter….JESUS is alive and well and is still changing lives thru JOHN
3:16!!!
Testimony of the Month
My name is Marc Bolin, I am 42
years old. When I was growing up I can’t remember not going to church.
I went with my family three times a week until I left home. That was
one of the requirements to live under that roof.
I was baptized July 24, 1980 at
the age of 12, not understanding what it meant.
I began drinking some on weekends
during the summer between my Junior and Senior year, not every weekend
and only on Friday nights. After I moved out of my parents’ house it
quickly became an all weekend event. Then it was one or two nights a
week. Over the next 20 years I centered my life around it. And I mean
every aspect of my life. The last 5 years or so before I went to the
ministry was like a train wreck in slow motion. I knew it wasn’t going
to be good and I couldn’t stop it.
The very fact that John 3:16
exists was an answered prayer for me. I didn’t know there was such a
place on this Earth. Words will not allow me to explain what happened
to me and my family there. The gift is from God through our savior
Jesus Christ, and is available to anyone, anywhere on this Earth. It
just so happens I found it at John 3:16 in Charlotte, Arkansas.
May God bless you all
and watch over you through this heat wave…
Bryan, Bev and family
and the 60 residents of JOHN 3:16 and their families.
