Hello, my name is Delbert Watson. I am 52 years old and have been living at John 3:16 Ministries for going on 3 years. Before I came to the ministry, I was living in a world where I thought I had life but really all I was doing was killing myself with my addictions. Since I came to John 3:16, and turned my life over to the Lord, I have been blessed in many ways. One of them being, I have been a part of all of the construction that has taken place. Starting out with a two-bedroom house, which has donated to the Ministry, we completely renovated and now there are four men living in the house. In addition, I helped build a health center, which has fitness and recreational equipment.

From there, I helped in extending our Chapel, which was too small to hold the congregation, so we doubled the length. We also have an outside pavilion, which is used for outdoor activities, I assisted in replacing the roof which makes a more useful part of the Ministry.

The most significant project I took part in was the complete construction of the Unity House, which is a 3,000 square feet facility that can house up to ten men. After 7 months and a graduation, they are allowed the opportunity to live in the Unity House and get at a job. They can stay at the Unity House up to six months, and during that time they are allowed to save money and prepare themselves for a new life with the Lord.

The most recent project that I participated in was the construction of a new six man dorm called the Delta Faith House. This was sponsored by South Arkansas residents.

The last three years have been the best years of my life. I have been able to help the Ministry, and in return I am now a permanent resident who looks forward to helping out all who want and need it. This I owe all to Jesus and as long as I keep him first in my life, there will be many more blessings to come.
